A bit about Patrick
Speech therapy until the age of seven because he couldn't speak words in the correct order, dyslexic traits, no drama school training, no teachers, mentors or guidance. The list goes on. He had no right to choose acting, but he did.
Through unraveling his own experiences, developing compassion, wisdom and understanding while empowering, mentoring and guiding children and adults in his earlier years, Patrick now knows he was always meant to teach. Acting would prove the main subject through which all else is revealed.
Starting comparatively late, at the age of 23, he received glowing reviews in only his second play at the Finborough Theatre. This trend continued for another four years when he started receiving screen roles. It would be another two years before the films were released from which he received his first award for best newcomer. Aware (or paranoid) of his lack of training Patrick was taking classes wherever he could, including studying 'The Method' and fully completing 'The Meisner' and years later, studying 'The Chubbuck' technique.
Patrick had always had peers and friends come to him for help and advice, rehearsals and practice.
Aware of the lack of guidance he himself received, he would never refuse anyone and was keen to help. Many claiming they came away with more than lessons in acting.
He had taught acting to children, teens and young adults previously but when he was asked to teach adults at the MET Film school, he turned it down at first not wanting to be a fraud. 'Who am I to teach adults when I'm an actor and need teaching myself', he said.
That being said Patrick went on to became the go-to tutor at the institute, being called and asked for, even while being tutored by others. This information was conveyed to Ivana Chubbuck herself who then asked that I teach her technique here in the U.K.
Every actors treasure lies within their unique human experiences. The gems are found in what is buried. The science of human nature is delicate and needs to be approached with understanding, experience due care and attention to the individual.
As a working actor with years of experience he remains at the cutting edge of what is happening real time in the industry. Patrick covers all bases of the acting industry.
